Mumbai secured the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by subduing Madhya Pradesh by five wickets with their collective batting strength


Mumbai cricket team bowled first, restricting Madhya Pradesh to 174/8 in 20 overs, then chasing down target in 17.5 overs, with Rajat Patidar top-scoring for Madhya Pradesh.Mumbai secured their second Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title, following their first win in 2022 against Himachal Pradesh.

Subhranshu Senapati briefly improved Madhya Pradesh's innings to 38/2, but his dismissal and Venkatesh Iyer's subsequent over out left the team at 86/5.Rajat Patidar, captain of Madhya Pradesh cricket team, made a crucial knock in the final overs, saving his best for the last over.

Mumbai's aggressive chase was hindered by Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer's wickets, while Suryakumar Yadav and Ajinkya Rahane combined to take Mumbai to 89/2.Mumbai's chase for a win was halted by a series of wickets, with Mumbai reducing their target to 12 runs off 18 balls.

Suryansh Shedge and Atharva Ankolekar scored unbeaten 36 and 16 runs respectively, with Shedge hitting boundary, six, single, and single respectively, in a 51-run partnership.
